Dr. Donna Szabo

Dr. Donna Szabo
Director of Audiology

Dr. Donna Szabo has been associated with Northern Valley ENT and Innovative Hearing Solutions since 1997 and has over thirty years of experience in the field of audiology and hearing aid dispensing. She received her Bachelors of Art degree from Kean University in 1981 and was awarded her Masters degree in Audiology from Kean University in 1982. Dr. Szabo earned her doctorate in Audiology in March of 2008 from the Arizona School of Health and Science Services. Dr. Szabo has a wide range of professional experience in a variety of clinical settings. She began her career as a school audiologist in a school for the deaf where her duties included auditory training, speech reading and aural rehabilitation. Her career progressed to a hospital setting where she was responsible for complete audiological evaluations for head start children as well as the inpatients at the facility. She first began working with an Otolaryngologist in 1988 and enjoys the daily challenges and diverse clientele this work environment provides. Over the years, Dr. Szabo has developed an expertise in working with all patients from pediatrics to geriatrics. Her skills range from diagnostic evaluations to fitting and dispensing amplification. “As a Dispensing Audiologist who has been in the field for over 30 years, my main priority and concern is that of the hearing-impaired patient. Working closely with our Otolaryngologists allows us to offer patients complete quality care. We provide all options to our patients that will best suit their needs without any pressure to purchase. It is our office priority that each and every one of our patients leaves the office with the best possible hearing solution that we can provide for them.” “Hearing loss is complicated and varies from patient to patient. All different types of hearing loss cannot be accommodated with the same hearing aids and achieve the same success. Therefore, all the latest and newest technologies are researched so I can offer as many possible solutions for my patient’s needs.” Dr. Szabo is licensed to practice audiology and dispense hearing aids in both New Jersey and New York. She holds her certificate of Clinical Competence from The American Speech and Hearing Association. She is currently a member of the American Academy of Audiology, ADA, ASHA and the American Tinnitus Association.

Debbie Smith has been a Practice Manager since 2004 in the ophthalmology field. She has joined our practice in July 2016 and is excited to enter the hearing aid field. She has many years of patient involvement in all areas from insurance issues to handling any and all concerns the patients have and is always available to assist them with any issues.

Audiology Assistant

DeAnna Morisco has a degree in allied health and applied science. In March 2019 DeAnna completed the Audiology Assistant program at Nova Southeastern University. She has worked in the medical field in several different capacities for over ten years. Her experience ranges from patient care to customer service. One of DeAnna’s top priorities is to ensure that her patients are provided with the best care possible when visiting the office. It is also very important to her to insure their visit is comfortable and enjoyable.
